O presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, falou com o recém eleito primeiro-ministro da Irlanda, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, na Sala Oval da Casa Branca. Durante, a conversa os repórteres irlandeses estavam presentes e, a dado momento, Trump pediu a Caitriona Perry, uma repórter irlandesa, que se chegasse mais à frente e lhe dissesse o seu nome.
Vem aqui, vem aqui! De onde és? Temos toda esta bonita imprensa irlandesa”, disse Trump enquanto pedi a Perry para se aproximar da sua secretária.
A Varadkar, Trump disse “ela tem um bonito sorriso na cara, eu aposto que ela te trata bem”.
No seu twitter, a jornalista disse que aquele foi um “momento bizarro”.
