O gabinete da chanceler alemã Angela Merkel foi encerrado e selado momentaneamente, depois de as autoridades terem descoberto embalagens consideradas suspeitas. Entretanto o local já foi reaberto depois de ter sido confirmado que não se tratavam de explosivos.

A Agência Reuters citou um porta-voz da Polícia Federal germânica que confirmou estar “a investigar um pacote suspeito”, e que a “polícia ainda está a lidar com a situação”.

Sem mais informações e comentários oficiais, a Reuters informa ainda que uma testemunha referiu que na área selada estavam quatro caixas postais de plástico amarelas. Entretanto começaram a surgir fotografias do local e que mostravam polícias a carregar as referidas caixas:
