A 26 de novembro de 1942, o Hollywood Theatre, em Nova Iorque, recebia pela primeira vez o clássico do cinema norte-americano “Casablanca”, com Ingrid Bergman e Humphrey Bogart nos papéis principais. O filme, realizado por Michael Curtiz, ganhou vários Óscares da academia, incluindo o de melhor filme.
