O senador republicano John McCain, de 80 anos, regressou ao Senado dos Estados Unidos na madrugada desta sexta-feira, uma semana depois de ter sido diagnosticado com um tumor cerebral. O voto do senador foi decisivo para impedir que a proposta dos Republicanos para derrubar o Obamacare fosse aprovada.
McCain juntou-se a outras duas republicanas mais conservadoras — Susan Collins, do Maine, e Lisa Murkowski, do Alasca –, e a todos os democratas no chumbo da proposta. Um total de 49 a favor e 51 contra o fim do Obamacare.
